Re: January dinners
I had Indian food for lunch with Cecilia it was really good. We tried going to a local Hawaiian /Filipino place which we normally love for dinner. I ordered a garlic butter Shrimp dish. It was awful, no idea if it was just a bad batch or this was simply not a dish I cared for. Ended up dumping a $13 dish. Disappointing
Otherwise had a pretty decent birthday. DH bough me a few new dishes so we are have just about replaced the ugly "divorce dishes" (when my husband was a child at one point his father moved out and bought a condo. They never actually divorced but the condo was kept and used as extra rental income. We were given a set of dishes from that condo when they sold it.. They were never my style and we always refered to them as the divorce dishes.)

Re: January dinners
The kids took us to a ramen restaurant while on vacation. I loved their gluten free chicken ramen bowl! So I'm going to make a version tonight. I'm excited. I hope it turns out.

Re: January dinners
Dh and I are on a very clean, low fat diet. I made tacos for ds last night. Otherwise, it's been lots of chicken and rice and veggies! I'm using the extra taco meat added to air fried sweet potatoes plus some steamed zucchini for another meal today.
I'm in the kitchen now all.the.time. It's crazy. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk ---------- Post added at 08:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:16 AM ---------- Quote:

Re: January dinners
Homemade Chinese spicy sour soup. The veggies we got from our produce basket this week worked out great to make it. With covid in the house, it's one way that I know most of my kids will eat some good vegetables.

Re: January dinners
shrimp stir fry with cabbage (used bagged coleslaw) it is one of my girls favorite and pretty easy to make. We had some cantaloupe to go with it for me and the girls and I added some rice for DH.

Spinach, kale, roasted sweet potato, quinoa, and pear salad topped with homemade lime vinaigrette. It was leftover from yesterday. Leftover chili from yesterday, also.

Re: January dinners
Moroccan Chick Pea and carrot stew. I'll probably make some rice to go with it.
Dh just got home from Costco with a huge bag of baby spinach that I personally think would be lovely in the stew, but I'm not sure everyone else will see eye to eye.
