I really really dislike photobucket - alternatives?

It seems so counterintuitive and cumbersome. I know how to use it, I just don't like it.

I use it mostly for sharing out photos on forums like GCM. What else is out there? What do you use instead?

I've never used photobucket, I have a Flickr account and I really like it. My friend has something called Smugmug which he really likes.

for posting this. Photobucket drives me bonkers. I use Imageshack a lot and I like it.

I have a lifetime membership to dropshots.com and really like it. It's really simple and easy to use.

I adore Picasa. The desktop software is a great photo organizer & basic photo editor. From the online albums you can edit there, edit in Picnik, organize, etc. You can set it so that people (anyone or registered-only) can order pictures from your albums (great for family that doesn't live near you!). You can set different levels of security for each album. You can order pictures direct from their desktop software. Plug-ins to send the pictures to Facebook, flickr, etc.

Just saw that this thread has been revived! I actually have been using flickr and love it way more than photobucket (even when photobucket was decent). I haven't looked at the other recent suggestions, though.

Oh....just tried Hermana Linda's suggestion of https://postimg.org/ and I like it. It's very basic in a functional way meaning....it's a service only for posting images. Basic and intuitive. As opposed to flicker which has a bunch of other functions, but posting images takes several more steps.

I used the 'thumbnail for forums' option for the gratuitous 90% eclipse photo above!

Yes, it's simple. I didn't even make folders, because I was too lazy.

I tried image shack and it was a free trial. I did not try flicker.
