Re: March Meals
Nerf Kabobs from the Star Wars Cookbook.
It's actually meatballs and bread dough cooked on a skewer and finished with cheddar cheese. Seasoning is a lot like cheezits - paprika, cumin, garlic, onion. Veggie will probably be kale chips and a salad.

Re: March Meals
No soccer tonight for either dc so I made a big (albeit) meal while dh picked up from track:
Air fryer asparagus. My iron bowls (ds doesnt eat them) - garlic, spinach, quiana BBq chicken (dd doesnt eat) Mac n Cheese (just out of a box) Turned the last of the french bread from last night into garlic bread. We all had a serving of dark dove chocolate after dinner so there went my serving for today.

Re: March Meals
Going to cook a bunch of ground beef and then some if for quesadilla and some for meat sauce for pasta. Tonight will be quesadilla. Tomorrow will be sandwiches (we have to leave for a PV meet immediately after school so will have to eat in the car). Saturday will be the pasta with 2 sauces and salads.

Re: March Meals
Dh gave up meat for Lent, so we're having lots of vegetarian and meat-on-the-side meals.
Tonight we're trying a rice and veggie loaf from a Williams Sonoma Beans and Rice cookbook I've had for ages. I mixed some black Japonica rice into a brown and wild rice blend I had in the pantry. It looks interesting to me, but I'm not sure how it's going to go over with the kids. There's a salad and chicken sausages on the side. Tomorrow is going to be clam chowder. It's a pantry version (I hate steaming shellfish) and I'm trying to decide if I should fancy it up with purple new potatoes or go the lazy route and use pre-cut cubed hashbrowns from the freezer.

Re: March Meals
We had Spanakopita in honor of Pi(e) Day with olive-rosemary cannelini beans on the side. I made apple-cherry hand pies for dessert.

Re: March Meals
So fun!
I wish we did something for pi(e) day, but we have two birthdays in the week before, so we are always eating lots of cake. Maybe next year, if I think of it, I can make a chicken pot pie. Monday is IP night, so I just made some chicken in the pot and heated up a couple of frozen sides from TJ's.

Re: March Meals
Dh is out of town for work AND I still have 2 kids doing 4 sports while I am working so I did grocery shop this weekend but did not meal plan.
Sunday - Chinese take out. A boy on ds track team parents own a place near our home. Today - McD - Ds has a friend who just started working there. WE did not see him though - he must have been in the back. I told the guy who gave us our food to tell J we say hi. My ds is very very embarrassed mad at me about that - so I am totally winning today. Tomorrow - both kids have track meets right from school. DD takes the bus to hers and ds is home. So Idk. I guess they will have to pack food to eat beforehand. I wont be here when they wake bc of work and dh still gone. Wednesday - WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DAYS PEOPLE NEED TO EAT IN ONE WEEK? THIS IS OUT OF CONTROL!
