Re: October Dinners
Eating out - TBD. We will drive an hour to the town my nephew lives in, all eat out, then ds and nephew will head to my hometown so ds can spend the weekend with my sister, BIL, 2 of her 3 (adult) kids.

Re: October Dinners
Sunday I made Fancy nachos with all the leftover burrito bowl stuff.
We had smoked burgers on Monday - highly recommend if you have never smoked a burger! Sides were canned baked beans and homemade coleslaw. Smoked venison tenderloin last night. Obviously we love our smoker. Sides roasted potatoes , brussels sprouts and rolls. Tonight is grilled cheese and tomato soup. I'll probably also do a veggie tray and make Chocolate Chip Cookies for the new neighbors so we'll have those too.

Re: October Dinners
I made pork carnitas in the crockpot last night with cabbage salad on the side.
Tonight I think I'm going to do spicy chicken drumsticks in the oven. We have teeny tiny baby potatoes I can roast at the same time, plus green beans to saute with garlic.

Re: October Dinners
We had spaghetti squash served with spaghetti sauce made with ground turkey and onions, slathered with cheese (mozzarella and parmesan) with broccoli on the side (cheese on the broccoli as well.)
I need this now that my parents are living with us! Both of them need to gain weight and they pay for the food, so I'm limited only by my time and imagination. Well, also, not trying to get my mother's sugar or cholesterol too high. Sent from my SM-A102U using Tapatalk

Re: October Dinners
Our electricity went out twice yesterday first for about 2.5 hours and the next for a little over 5 hours. My dh had a concert where they fed him. He took Margaret with him. I took Cecilia out for Mexican food. I'll probably make what I would have last night for lunch sometime this week.
Tonight were having ground beef and cabbage casserole with french bread.

Re: October Dinners
I made Turkey kielbasa with cabbage, carrots, onions, garlic, zucchini, curry and mustard. I served it over baked potato with butter and cheese. (No butter for me, I'm not trying to gain weight.)

Re: October Dinners
Sunday was King Ranch Chicken, spanish rice, and pinto beans. We have plenty leftover for tonight, so I am not cooking. I do need to meal plan for the rest of the week though!

Re: October Dinners
Monday I made a big pot of sauce, meatballs, spaghetti, plus a 6 pound spaghetti squash. Color me purple, but they ALL ate it! I can't remember the last time that happened! (Except Taco night. They ALWAYS eat Tacos. And Dh's homemade pizza, but they get picky about toppings.) I've got enough for at least another meal in the freezer.
The rest of the week is mainly going to be Crockpot meals. Tuesday we had Thai chicken and for tonight I have Cheesy Chicken simmering away in the crock. I wanted to make a Mississipi Pot Roast for tonight, but it was barely defrosted! (I know I could have put it in the IP, but The Minions voted for more chicken.)

Re: October Dinners
We had chili.
Without rice. This upset a person here. Do you serve chili with something else?
