Re: November Dinners
Secunda asked for pork chops, which I rarely make, so that's what we're having tonight. I think sauteed cabbage and onions will go nicely, perhaps some sauteed apples as well.

Re: November Dinners
I (finally!) meal planned last night. And dh says he will grocery shop for me today. The problem is I signed up for work a flu vaccine clinic this evening so maybe dh can pick up a pre-prepared meal (ds likes fried chicken and dd likes sushi) for dinner for tonight and then I can start cooking tomorrow night. . . except I have a hair appt! SATURDAY!

Re: November Dinners
Lemon-herb Chicken Drumsticks (and breast for me) in the crockpot. Not sure about veggies, though. I didn't pay close enough attention to my shopping list this week, apparently.

Re: November Dinners
We’re having tomato soup with pasta shapes - it was supposed to be orzo, but I don’t have any so it will have to be broken up bits of spaghetti instead

Re: November Dinners
Last night we had slow cooker thai peanut chicken over rice noodles with broccoli. I will never make thai peanut chicken again. It's sad when the broccoli is the best part of the meal.
Thankfully, tonight is gf pizza!

Re: November Dinners
Last night, I made an asian hamburger cabbage/baby bok choy dish that also had fresh mushrooms, shredded carrots, and a can of diced tomatoes in it. I added some soy sauce and vinegar to it, and then made Taziki rice to go with it on the side. It used up some veggies I had left over from our produce basket from the last couple of weeks, plus the baby bok choy from this week's basket. My red cabbage I had from another basket was on the small side, but with the baby bok choy I had, it worked out great. We got lemons in this week's basket, so that gave me the motivation to make the Taziki rice.
For tonight, dh put some meatballs in the crockpot. We will eat it with the leftover rice. I am also having some of the leftover asian dish, too.

Re: November Dinners
I made deep dish pizza. Wiggle worm refused to even try them and opted for a can of sardines for dinner.

Re: November Dinners
We had this with pasta/meat sauce and veggies. Seriously, this stuff is so good, you don't need sauce. You can serve it with butter and parmesan cheese.

Re: November Dinners
One of my kids requested that I make that pasta salad again. Since I use the lentil pasta, which has the protein in it, we just had this as our main dish.
Another dd has requested gf/df banana bread, so I made some of that. I also had some yellow squash that has been sitting around, so right now in the oven, I have gf/df lemon muffins with shredded squash mixed in.

Re: November Dinners
It's homemade pizza night. Dh is trying a Cook's Illustrated Deep Dish Pizza recipe. There's Monterey Jack in addition to the traditional mozzarella.
