Re: July Dinners
I made lentils to add to my taco meat tonight. It kinda flipped. I used red lentils and precooked them in the IP. They came out like the thick mashed potatoes. Mixed it in with the meat anyway. Weird texture.
Tomorrow will be French dip, I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: July Dinners
We were at the beach over the weekend, just came back yesterday at noon, and it was HOT here. Yucky and humid. The olders asked for Muffaletta, so we made two with a big bowl of Jicama slaw. (So refreshing!) We got a huge thunderstorm that came through right after dinner, knocking out the power, but cooling things off. I may bake some cookies this afternoon in celebration.
For tonight I picked up chicken drumsticks that are going in the crockpot for the day. I'm hoping for leftovers to use for a salad bar tomorrow because the heat's supposed to be coming back.

Re: July Dinners
The Birthday Girl can't decide what she wants for dinner. She's in a bit of a depressed Moody Teen funk. I'm not sure if just making a go of it myself based on her past tastes is going to make the situation better or worse.......

Margaret and I are going to see a friend's end of summer ballet performance today so I think I'll do mother daughter lunch out. Dinner tonight will be an instant pot Japanese chicken curry.

And she made a decision!!!! Take out from the cheesesteak place and a Sundae Bar for dessert. I made Dulce de Leche in the IP and I have to make a batch of homemade Magic Shell as well as some whipped cream, then I'm done. Dh has the rest.

Re: July Dinners
We got those fresh pizzas after grocery shopping today. We were gone all day at pole vault event and a festival thing so too tired to cook. Also ate there so not that hungry for dinner. I did meal plan for the week - so should be good to go for week 1 of going back to work.
