early perimenapause?
Hi
I am 34 and I had my 5th baby about 2 years ago. My periods returned when the baby was around 18 mos, but I still nurse 2 my younger kids - 2 and 4yrs old. However, when my periods returned, they are as regular as they could be for a nursing mom, but I feel like I start jumped towards early premenapouse I had hot flashes. This circle the PMS was soo painful and I was very hot, sweaty. Today is the first day of period and I am soo hot the whole day... as if I had a fever or something . I also have a very sensitive bladder. Need to go to bathroom much more often. I feel sick half of the month and I feel I am becoming so not functional. I also feel my blood pressure rises sometimes - it never happened before. It is ALWAYS low for me. Can it be just return to normal after long breastfeeding and mothering and I just need to wait longer for things to settle or is it the way to menapouse? Is there anything I could do to feel better? Has anyone experienced similar things after extended breastfeeding? |

Re: early perimenapause?
It sounds like typical hormonal changes many women experience. If you have had 5 children and done years of extended breastfeeding, it is probable that things just changed in your body over those years.
There are things you do nutritionally or with supplements to aid your symptoms. But, what you are describing does not yet sound like perimenopause.

Re: early perimenapause?
May need some extra hormonal balancing support or progesterone right now.Have you had hormone levels checked to see where you are?
