December Meals
I hope it's okay that I get the December thread going. I actually have a plan for a few days and I want to get it out of my head into print.
Last night DH made homemade pizza. (Mine had steak, gorgonzola, and grilled onions.) Tonight was IP night - Thai Chicken and Coconut rice. Tomorrow is going to be lamb burgers with whipped feta. Veggie sides TBD. I really wanted to make Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) with the lamb, but 3 (THREE!!) of my kids said they won't eat it. This recipe is wonderful, if any of you want to try it. (I typically use less EVOO, but otherwise make this as it is.) I may make a small batch because I have plenty of lamb, and ...the potatoes on the bottom are scrumptious! Wednesday I'm thinking Malaysian Satay Curry. Not sure if I'll do chicken or beef; both are delicious.

Since we all have colds, I made homemade chicken noodle soup.
I need to go grocery shopping, but may have to learn online ordering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: December Meals
Last night I made curry. Here is my weekly meal plan
Tonight is pasta (again, I know, but I need an easy meal bc I have yoga and then advent by candlelight, I dont have a lot of time, likely even have ds or dh make it) Tomorrow is my birthday so dinner has nothing to do with me (dh is cooking) Thursday - WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DINNERS IN A WEEK? Friday - going out to eat for my birthday Saturday - dh and I have a xmas party so the kids can do whatever they like that has nothing to do with me! Sunday - ARE YOU PEOPLE HUNGRY ALREADY AGAIN?

Re: December Meals
I like to cook and get sad when we're busy and I don't have many days to make stuff
Tonight is Italian sausage and tortellini soup with Caesar salad and bread from Wildgrain. Wildgrain is an artisan bread delivery service. You get a box of frozen things ready to bake straight from frozen. And it's really good. I'm having a small group of friends over tonight to eat dinner and see my new kitchen. Re: December Meals
That is so fun! (the dinner and the frozen bread)
I am trying to clean out my freezer. Tonight is chicken and random veggies. I also might make a corn casserole to use up some frozen corn. I bought a bunch back when that derecho went through corn country back in 2020.

Re: December Meals
Tonight was dinner for 10 at my house for my small group.
We had rice pilaf with sunflower seeds and sage, roasted veggies - sweet potatoes brussel sprouts and grapes topped with some goat cheese, turkey meatballs, green salad and bread. Everything was dairy, soy, gluten, egg, garlic, corn and potato free. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Re: December Meals
It was amazing! We moved it to do it at our house less than a week ago. I have a friend who is amazing at designing recipes and planing meals and so i asked her for help. I sent her the list of allergy restrictions ( one lady has a tun like no pork, chicken, shrimp, perch and more.it.is a lost about 20 things long) and this is what she came.up with in about 30 min of messaging back and forth.
It was so much better than I had the brain space to come up with. I had neaver done anything with fresh sage nor had I ever done any sort of pilaf I will definitely be incorporating both in to my repertoire. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
