I think GCM is having glitches. It keeps doing the same thing to me too (showing no or little response, open it up and there are a few pages in actuality)

Wow. I am speechless. I cannot believe that parents are using glue sticks to spank their children. How heartbreaking. Those poor little ones.

You can find news reports that contain posts about spanking children with gluesticks. And not in a "My word, how abusive!" kind of way

I just don't really understand what people must be thinking to be thinking
I mean it seems spanking is one thing but then moving to the thought process "I need to hit my child with something that does not leave a mark" - I mean that is a bit off. Really warped. I need to hit them hard enough to leave a mark but I don't want to leave a mark so what can I hit them hard enough so that it is hard "enough" but does not leave the undesired proof of me hitting my child that hard

This is what serious child abusers do; that is hit in such a way as to not leave a mark or leave marks where people won't see them.

And loving Christian parents and gangbangers are thinking the same way just puts the whole thing in perspective

That is precisely what I would say to a parent who made the mistake of telling me they "didn't want to leave marks" while punishing their children.
I would comment "That's what child abusers do. Hit them where the marks wont' show, so they won't get in trouble with the law. That's what domestic abuse looks like too, by the way."

And then I would follow them to their car, write down the license plate number and call Children and Youth

Those poor babies

You know those long, thin plastic tubes that light up and you put them around you neck at carnivals and such? Flutterbye has one and she has hit my husband and I with it in her excitement more than once. I finally threw it out when she was napping because it HURTS! I cannot imagine doing that on purpose to a small child with the force of an adult
