I thought this was going to be related to the mice we have coming into our place (that were NOT pets to start out with) and I had the heebie jeebies just from your title. Glad it wasn't a wild rat

We think we are finally rid of the mice that have been sneaking into the pantry. (And sadly, they utterly refused to be caught in the humane traps, so we had to resort to killing them. Sad, but necessary.)
Last night I had a dream that a rat the size of a cocker spaniel was living behind our dishwasher. (No idea how that would actually work, there's not enough space there...) And in my dream, though I was mostly skeeved out, I was also a little like "This has gotta be a record... we need to call somebody at the news station!"
