Back carry for a 3 month old
What's your favorite back carry for a young baby? I've been doing a basic ruck tied in front, but I'd like to try some new things . I think Isaac isn't a big fan of legs froggied in, so I'm thinking something with feet out... At the same time, he still seems kind of small... So I don't know

I liked Back Cross Carry because it starts with a chest belt and the baby felt secure while I messed around learning how to do passes.

Hmm, was the baby okay not being very high? I tried this a long time ago with my older but wasn't able to get her up be high, and she got upset quickly.
I think I'll give it a try though, I like what you said about the baby feeling secure while learning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Back carry for a 3 month old
It takes some practice to get them up high. There are a lot of good videos on youtube.

Re: Back carry for a 3 month old
Secure high back carry. There is a good tutorial on The Babywearer from a dad from New Zeland. My favorite back carry is a ruck with a lexi twist but that might not work for such a young one unless they have great neck control and it is only for a short period of time.

I started putting ds2 on my back in the pikkolo ssc at 3 months bc the bottom cinches narrowly enough for him and he had great head control.
After trying every type of carrier out there I've settled on my top three: ring sling for all ages, moby wrap for the fourth trimester, ssc for 3-4+ months through toddlerhood. Sent from Katigre's Galaxy S3 |
