We don't have any young children in our immediate family (my nephew is almost a teenager) but we've 'adopted' a couple families that now join us for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and every year for the past few years I have a moment of realizing that all of our cups are glass, all of our plates are breakable, and we have tile floors
![]() Up to this point we've made-do with a combo of camping mugs and sippy cups, but this year we'll have a 7yo, 6yo, and 4yo, with another baby on the way, so it seems like a good time to stock up on some kid-friendly cups, plates, etc, now that they've earned their own kids' table. Any items that you've really loved or found to be particularly kid-friendly?

I would buy from the thrift store. Plenty of cute stuff there.

I really really love the old glass snuff glasses with thick bottoms for little kids. They have weight and they want to sit down. I always have issues with plastic cups.
I love Ikea kids silverware and dishes! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

We had Ikea Kids which were great.
We have Silipint cups and lids, but they are more of an investment.

I agree. We used all IKEA stuff when my kids were little.
In fact we still have the plates and cups which get used routinely with my older kids. Mostly because they are still there. ![]()

Target has some inexpensive plates/bowls/etc that you can buy by the piece. They are either 50cents or 99cents each. Solid colors if you want to color code.
If you want them using lidded cups, the Take + Toss straw cups are great for not looking too babyish.
