Baby Shower Ideas

I'm having a shower for my daugher in July. The theme is Peter Rabbit (her baby will be named Peter as well).

I have the invitations, matching thank you cards and envelopes and an insert suggesting children's books as a gift.

I have a bay window in my dining room and am going to sew some simple blue cafe curtains to add some light blue to the setting. I'm also going to get some flowers for the table.

One thing I want to do is display the baby photos of baby's ancestors. I have dd's, sil's, mine, dh, mil, fil, my father, my mother, my great grandmother and sil's dad. Sil's mom is still working on others on their side. I'm not sure how to display these. I want to put the names and birth year on the backs, maybe? the only thing I can think of right now is a white bulletin board with the photos attached by string (so they turn). Any other thoughts?

I have space on the front porch that I would like to add something. We are putting light blue and green balloons at the end of our court and on the mailbox to make it easier to find the house.

I'd love some creative input

(and I'll be back in a few months as my other daugher is expecting in December

)

Where did you place the closthesline? Just against a wall?

No, out in the open, where they can see both sides. It was a decoration, so it was over a main area.

Sweet! And they have one with dragons! Since it is the Chinese year of the dragon, I've been refering to the babies as 'grandma's baby dragons'. This way I could get the same outfit in the two different sizes for Christmas.
