Attack of the giant blob....please help me with snot ***#13 color changes

Two weeks of a cold. It's now in the "congested-so-badly-my-jaws-hurt" stage. I can't blow my nose because it feels like it will pop something important in my ear (and it hurts so bad).
The post-nasal drip is causing a cough that is debilitating and kept me awake for hours last night. I had to leave work early on Tuesday because of the cough. When I blow my nose, I have copious amounts of yellowish snot.

I've tried warmed bean bags on my sinuses, on my eyes, my throat, my chest. I've taken DayQuil and then theraflu and tried steam baths and cough drops, altoids, honey. I'm on probiotics, taking elderberry extract.

I don't know what to do. I have to work tomorrow.

Tylenol daytime and nightime pills. They come in a combined pack. They are the only thing that works if I need to do something and I am sick like that.

i would be taking a huge amount of Vit D like 30,000 a day and vitamin c or emergenc till I could not take anymore.

I'm eating Sixteen Garlic Soup like it's going out of style and even went to bed with garlic and olive oil rubbed on my feet.

Dr Oz also has an immune boosting soup on his page. Let me dig it up.

Manda, I'm going to try some of that soup. I took some mucinex and that at least has stopped the post-nasal drip that was making me cough. Now I am dealing with excruciating jaw pain. The Tylenol I took an hour ago hasn't helped.

I just want to feel better.

The batch I made has lasted me three days (with only myself and DD3 eating it.) If I had it to do over I would have doubled the Garlic soup and frozen half for future use.

stop dayquil and theraflu and instead try mucinex or PLAIN robitussin to thn and loosen snot also saltwater steam helps loosen

I was going to say Mucinex, but I see you're doing that. Our whole household has the crud.....been passing it around/fighting it for the last 2 weeks here too.

Bromelain is supposed to help with sinus issues...do you think the jaw pain is related to sinus issues?

The jaw pain is definitely sinus. I looked up symptoms of sinusitis and I have every symptom. I took mucinex this morning and will take another dose at work tonight. I had Tylenol at around 4:30 this morning when I woke up from the pain. It just wore off so I took ibuprofen just now. I'm mostly worried about getting vertigo if this keeps up.

Oh, and I took a dose of apple cider vinegar too. Has anyone ever tried oil pulling?

good you took mucinex but would stop the other 2 because the decongestants can be so drying that they contribute to the thick snot and pain try the team inhalation to get everything moist those soups sund good too or any kind of a broth with tons of garlic and onion and also green tea with lemon and honey

Oh my goodness, even just MAKING that garlic soup has completely cleared my sinuses....I haven't tried it yet, I'm packing it in a thermos for work (oh, they'll all love me there

Okay, this is weird..

The past two days, I've had green-yellow snot. Then last night, it seemed to be starting to turn into a clear snot, like I might be getting over it. This morning, it's a bright GOLDEN, like, as though there was blood mixed in with it. Would this make sense? I've never had golden snot.

It is just an infection still. But, it is probably getting better and your nose is dry.

But I'm thinking I've had a pretty messed up sinus infection...Never had one soo bad. I had vertigo yesterday for three hours before work.
